Photo Shoot

A few weeks ago, I collaborated with a gal pal, Kristina Warta of KBK Photography to do some vintage style photographs. I have never been real keen on being photographed and I've always been a little shy and self conscious of my body. Even with all of that, it was a great experience and I'd definitely be up for it again. Kristina was wonderful. She invited me into her home and worked patiently with me (any my many fits of nervous laughter) to help me expand my comfort zone. I came away from the experience feeling glamorous and a little braver than before. Sadly, Kristina recently moved out of my area and is currently setting up shop in Gibbon, Nebraska. I wish her the best of luck. If you're in the area, look her up, she's fabulous! Here are a few of my favorite photos from the shoot.

What are some of your experiences with photo shoots or just stepping out of your comfort zone in some way?

  1. Absolutely Adorable, "Dixie"!! You look (and are) stunning! It was fun seeing you today...I saw your sissy too but didn't want to stare and be a creeper or be bold and tell her who I was!! (I figured it would be a long explanation if you hadn't told her about Vintage City) Hope to see you again soon!! :)

  2. Excellent photos. We recently did some family photos and I must admit it was a good thing, although I much prefer the photos of Amy and kids, without me in them :)..
